I posted about this a few months ago, having learnt about it on an excellent course on accessibility. And it's genuinely one of those posts that has affected our own content the most! Aesthetically I used to like centred text, and even right aligned text on particular images. ⁠

But I really have realised it's harder to read. ⁠
⁠
My own view aside, however, it is really really important to consider all users of your website. And anyone with dyslexia finds left-aligned text significantly easier to read. ⁠

We do this be designing templates that are suitable for many types of small businesses - from art dealers and artists to personalised homewares and personal trainers. And we simplify the WordPress experience to make it altogether easier for anyone who finds websites daunting 😫.⁠

But our templates don't suit everyone 😞. ⁠

🔺Your business might need features that we don't have - we do our best to include them when a feature will enhance everyone's websites, like having a different hero image for mobile screens and desktops, but it's not always possible. ⁠

🔺Your business might need a bespoke solution, rather than a ready-made template, so our packages won't work for you (although I can personally recommend @greengingerdes for a bespoke solution ⁠😉).

🔺Maybe you need someone to add your content for you. (Well, actually sometimes Fred does help with that, but it's not part of the guaranteed package!)⁠

It's a hard lesson, when we realise that we're not right for everyone's business, but it's a lesson we have learnt since we started, and continue to learn🤓. ⁠
